The 10 Stories of Single Mothers project is a collaboration between a number of groups, united by a shared concern about the impact the reduced level of government support is having on single mothers and their children.
Through the stories of these 10 women we hope to illuminate the terrible consequences these financials cuts can have on an entire family – a family that is often already struggling financially. We also hope this project will help dispel some of the myths and stigma that unfortunately still surround single mums – as you will seen from our stories these women are hard-working and courageous individuals, battling to try and create a better future for their kids.

NCSMC gives primacy to mothers living in hardship.
